The franchise opportunity requires our franchisees to market and sell High Speed Internet and Telephone services to tenants in apartment buildings anywhere in Canada. Due to our exceptional wholesale pricing, product offerings and quality of service, Building Technologies is an easy sell to tenants.
Building Technologies contracts with apartment building owners for long term access to market our services in their buildings. We target buildings with at least 250 apartment units which offers a higher revenue potential. We then offer our franchisees exclusive rights to market our services in those buildings for the full term of the agreement and renewals thereafter.
Building Technologies then orders and sets up state of the art equipment and infrastructure in the Telco closet and brings fiber into the building. We then use the existing Bell copper cable to deliver the services to the apartment suites. Building Technologies is responsible for all on-site repairs and installation of customer services, and the maintenance and upgrades of the equipment, tier 2 supports and provides the billing platform. Building Technologies also arranges for the financing of the equipment that will be installed in the building.
The franchisee is responsible for sales and marketing, order and cancellation entries through our web portal and scheduling installations of new customers, customer support and billing. The franchosee will be responsible for the monthly financing payments on the equipment, and the building owners 10% commission on the revenue. Each building becomes a franchise opportunity and Building Technologies offers multiple franchise opportunities to each franchisee to increase their earnings potential.
Marketing involves setting up a kiosk in the lobby and handing out flyers to existing tenants in the lobby and under their doors. Promotional material should be displayed in the elevators, laundry room, lobby and rental office. A solid rapport should be developed with the rental agents or superintendents to market to new tenants moving in. Also, franchisees can pre-sell to the building before any equipment is installed to increase sales at start up of services.
